A Note from Our Founder
Why we started Haven Free.
When I came to make Sarasota home, I learned what every owner here learns quickly: a Gulf Coast house never stops asking for attention. The heat, the humidity, the storm season, the dozens of small systems that keep a house comfortable — they keep working whether or not anyone is standing in the kitchen.
I have spent my career in a business where trust is the whole product: taking care of things for people that cannot be replaced, and writing down every step so they never have to wonder. That habit is the heart of Haven Free. We write down what we see. We tell you the truth about it, good or bad. We hold your keys as if they were our own. And we call when it matters, so you can stop checking.
Haven Free is not a list of vendors, and it is not a call center. It is a partnership with people who know your home by name and who care how it feels when you open the door.

Why we exist
A Gulf Coast home is not a house you can lock and leave.
Heat, humidity and summer storms work on a closed house every day it sits empty, and the small things — an air handler that stops, a slow leak under a sink, a pool that turns — become large ones when no one is there to notice.
Most owners solve this with a list of names: a pool company, a landscaper, a neighbor with a key, a handyman who is sometimes available. Haven Free replaces the list with one person who knows the house — a named Home Manager, backed by vetted, licensed local trades and a written record of every visit.
The point is not that nothing happens. It is that none of it reaches you.

Your Home Manager
One named person who knows your house, supported by field staff for scheduled visits. Not a dispatcher and not a rota — the relationship is with someone who has walked your home and can tell from a photograph whether something is new.
Preferred Partners panel
Vetted, licensed local trades by category — pool and spa, air conditioning and indoor air, plumbing and water treatment, electrical and technology, roofing and building envelope, impact protection and shutters, landscape and irrigation, painting, cleaning and pest control. Introductions
Some professionals — realtors, builders and advisors among them — introduce owners to Haven Free. When they do, we tell you.
How We Earn Your Trust
Facts you can check, before you hand us a key.
Feeling at ease starts with knowing who is coming into your home and what stands behind them.
Insured
Haven Free carries general liability insurance. Ask, and we will send a certificate of insurance before you sign — naming you as certificate holder if you would like.
Background-checked
Everyone who enters a member’s home has passed a criminal background check.
A professional member
Haven Free is a member of a professional home watch association. We hold ourselves to the standards our members would expect of anyone they trust with a key.
No fees from trades
We accept no referral fees or commissions from the contractors we coordinate. Our only pay comes from our members, so our only interest is yours.
Keys under written procedure
Every key and code is logged in a written access register, signed for, and returned to you with a signed receipt.
Discreet by habit
We never share our members’ names, addresses or travel dates, and we never use your home in our marketing without your written permission.
